It's fun to think about what I'll wear as a professional, dashing off to interviews and transcribing my notes while sipping a steaming cup of coffee. I know the road ahead is everything but glamorous, but one thing I can control is my wardrobe. Rather than wearing stuffy suits and carrying a uniform briefcase to work, I picture the wardrobe of a journalist as fun and quirky. A professional blazer is a staple, but why not add some polka dots? And wingtip oxfords are a must for comfort and functionality. These are a few pieces I pulled and hope to channel in my upcoming days attending meetings. While you're at it, read my past articles here.

she's got style.
Someone's in need of a wardrobe revamp! My "flair" seems to have altered after wearing basketball shorts and bro tanks all summer. I'll still wear a peter pan collar any day but it won't have to match my flats. Heck, I'd probably wear it with basketball shorts and Keens. <<Did that scare you? But really. I love mixing prints, styles, utilizing the layering effect, and making thrifted pieces work. Check out Pinterest for more inspiration.

citrus inspired.
[Target button-up, ModCloth dress, Urban Outfitters flats]
I know, I know. It's October. Where are the boots and sweaters, you may ask? That's what I want to know. It's been 104 degrees over here for the past few days and I just can't stand to think about cable knits and sweater socks. Instead, I opted for a lightweight dress and cool flats. Oh, and I spray painted three of those frames for my redecorating project. More to come on that. Stay cool.
